Radical Governance Training
Our Radical Governance training is for charities, CIOs and CIOs curious about non-hierarchical structures and other non-traditional governance models. It’s also for groups interested in alternative governance structures who are about to constitute.
Deciding on, or changing, how your company is structured can be a bold way to align you with your values. It can send an important message to the communities you serve. It can also fundamentally reconfigure how you work, boost staff morale, empower your team, and enhance creativity and collaboration. It’s not an easy change to make, and the process can feel intimidating, and fraught with obstacles and unknowns.
Arts & Homelessness has operated a flat structure since 2024. We have 3 Co-Directors, supported by a cohort of 24 Creative Associates, and all staff are paid the same. We are proud of our Radical Governance journey to date and have learned a huge amount from the process. We’re now delivering radical governance trainings for organisations looking to make a similar pivot. To date, we’ve worked with large charities and CIOs, grassroots groups looking towards anti-capitalist structures, and social justice organisations looking to lead with lived experience expertise.
