The Jigsaw is holistic model of homelessness support, co-designed by people who were homeless in Manchester in 2018
Our Jigsaw of Homeless Support is a holistic model, co-created with people from Manchester in 2018 who felt that homelessness support should not be hierarchical (like Maslow’s) but available at the same time. They felt that programmes that fostered positive contact with other people and emotional support were as important as practical help.
The Jigsaw has been adopted by projects and universities around the world, translated into many languages, has become part of local government homelessness strategies and is an example of United Nations best practice.
