To celebrate 5 years of being a charity, we are launching our Friends’ Scheme with a postcard give-away. Based on the brilliant ‘Send a Smile’ project in partnership with Underground Lights.

The new Friends’ Scheme is a wonderful group of supporters who enable AHI to continue our life-changing work with individuals who have experienced homelessness, projects working in the community and homelessness policy.

We have commissioned artists from the AHI community, Underground Lights and some celebrity friends to create postcards with words or drawings to ‘Send a Smile’ to their new owner. As a thank you to our new Friends who give £20 or more a month, one of these special, framed postcards could be yours. Those who have created postcards include Geraldine Crimmins, David Tovey, Gobscure, Alan Cumming, Stormzy, Errolyn Wallen, Matthew MacFadyen and Nick Kershaw. Below is a list of what your gift will help support and the thank you gift you will receive.

• £5 per month will help fund data for artists to get online to join workshops and advance their career (thank you present = an AHI ‘Art is a Human Right’ poster)
• £10 per month will fund a training workshop for artists wanting to publish their work or help fund their project (thank you present = an AHI tote bag and an AHI ‘Art is a Human Right’ poster)
• £20 per month will pay for training for an artist to become a trainer themselves (thank you present = the gifts above and a special 5th anniversary framed postcard)
• £50 per month will fund a whole year of training for a new Associate (thank you present = the gifts above, invitation to meet our Associates for lunch and a specially-commissioned thank you gift from them)
• All Friends will be invited to our annual Friends’ party
