✨ Hey everyone, it’s David here! ✨

I wanted to share some personal news—after much thought and reflection, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step down from my role at Arts & Homelessness International. This has honestly been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. AHI has been such a huge part of my life, and walking away is not easy.

Working at AHI has been an absolute privilege. From collaborating with the most incredible team—Lora, Matt, Samra, Katie, Susie, and so many others—to connecting with inspiring people around the world, this journey has been filled with unforgettable experiences. Together, we’ve built powerful cultural and university networks, led impactful projects in Manchester, Coventry, and Medway, and created international conversations that have amplified the voices of people with lived experience. I’m so proud to have been part of it all.

But as many of you know, the past few years have brought some big personal challenges—with my health, my family, and my own creative journey. It’s made me realise that now is the right time to step away and focus on what truly matters: my health, my loved ones, and my arts practice. Art has always been my way of making sense of the world, and I’m excited (and a little terrified!) to see where it might take me next.

I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at AHI—the team, the trustees, and all the amazing people I’ve worked alongside. Your support, kindness, and belief in me have meant everything. You’ve not only shaped my career but also helped me grow as a person, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

I may be moving on, but AHI will always be family to me. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just ‘See you Later’

David
