AHI Co-edits the Big Issue
AHI were invited to co-edit the Big Issue with London Arts and Health and the Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance for the UK’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week in May 2026
We were so delighted to be asked to co-edit and co-curate the Big Issue with London Arts and Health and the Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance for the UK’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week in May 2026. You can read the whole edition by following the link here.*
We organised a call-out for submissions and were able to platform the work of a number of creatives and projects working in arts and homelessness in the UK including artists Bryony Attenburrow, gobscure, David Tovey, Surfing Sofas and our own Natasha Steer and projects such as See Me North, Magpie Project, Response Ability Theatre and Denise Harrison’s new initiative ‘Finding Rat Park’.
All these people and projects show the importance of arts and creativity as a ‘need to have’ not a ‘nice to have’ in the homelessness sector.
*We are sharing the magazine in full here since the week it was on sale has now passed and this won’t effect direct sales to vendors. Please always buy the magazine from a Big Issue vendor and support their work. Thank you
