Through the weekly classes, participants have found a space to share, create, perform and make lasting friendships in, whilst being supported by a consistent team of committed facilitators/directors and producers. A number of group members have been able to secure paid work as extras or occasionally with speaking roles in television and short films.
Being a part of The Hobson Street Theatre Company has been empowering to so many of our members, they continue to come back week after week because they tell us they experience a real sense of belonging. They are determined to show that “homeless don’t mean hopeless.”
